We have lots of dresses that can be re-ordered in your dress size and many that are also available ‘ready to wear’ at heavily discounted prices. If you are a size 8 to 12 you may be able to grab yourself a bargain as we need to make room for our new collections!

Facts & questions
- Your bridal appointment at Victoria Lou Bridal will be a private 1:1 appointment with one of our experienced bridal stylists for up to 1hr 30 minutes.
- You’ll find our location here… this will help you recognise the building and find us easily.
- You will have the opportunity to browse and try several dresses to discover what shapes suits your body and also your personal sense of style. We will help guide you to find the perfect dress for you!
- On our bridal appointment form we’ll ask which dresses particularly stand out to you. This is really important to have an idea of what you may like (even if this may change when you start to try them on!)
- Lots of brides do find their dress on their first appointment with us, particularly if you have done your research and love the designers and styles that we stock!
- If you have found more than one favourite dress, or need approval by nan or the mother in law you can book a shorter follow up appointment to come back and say yes to the dress!
- We don’t allow photography in store of you in the dresses – please do inform your guests. There are a few reasons… Designers don’t appreciate it unless you have committed to the dress. The fit won’t be perfect, dodgy angles, lighting, your hair and make up will not be how it is on the day, and you’ll potentially overanalyse every detail of yourself and the dress (as women we are pretty good at this, boo!)
- It is so important to view yourself in the dress in the moment and remember that feeling… HOWEVER we will take a video or two in your favourite dresses. We will store these to your own personal file and share them with you post appointment if you want to review them. We do understand that choosing your dress is a huge decision and this may help the process.
- We can accommodate up to 3 adult guests.
- As well as our sofa comfortably seating 3 our limit is 3 guests as it is very important to remember that you are choosing ‘your’ wedding dress. The more guests you have can sometimes make choosing your dress quite difficult as you may try to please everybody’s taste – sometimes this just isn’t possible.
- We love guests that empower and support our brides.
- You are also of course welcome to visit on your own. Our stylists can provide honest and valuable suggestions and feedback to help you find your perfect dress.
- You can also video call any important guests during the appointment if you would like to.
- A bridal appointment is £30, this can be used towards an order or a ready to wear dress.
- A shorter follow up appointment is £15. A maximum of £45 of appointment fees can be used towards an order or a ready to wear dress.
- You’ll find pricing of all our dresses on the website which you can review before booking an appointment. The prices are visible in store too so you can try your best to avoid falling in love with a dress beyond your budget. We also have lots of fantastic bargains to be whipped up of ready to wear dresses significantly discounted to make room for new designs.
- Our dresses in store are mainly a size 10-14. It is rare that they the perfect fit so we’ll use clips to make them smaller or bigger. Of course if you are ordering a new dress it will be made in your size. For most designers we recommend a split size for the best tailored fit. The majority of us ladies don’t fit a standard dress size!
- We do have a few size 8, 16 and 22 size dresses. If your hips (across your bottom) are larger than the dress size we may struggle to get the dresses on without damaging them. In this case please don’t be offended that you may not be able to try them but we’ll do our best to help you visualise the dresses in your size.
- The ideal time to book your appointment is 12-18 months before the big day, but this really depends on you as a person. Don’t try dresses too soon if you worry you may not like your dress in 18 months time when new dresses are released! However, if you know you won’t look at any others (like when you know you’re future Husband is definitely the one) then you can choose your dress early and be super organised as sometimes your dress can influence many more decisions around your wedding!
- Most dresses require 6-8 months to be made and we recommend that dresses are ready at least 3 months prior to the wedding. This allows time for any necessary alterations.
- If you are still searching for your dream dress and your wedding date is creeping closer and closer most of our designers can offer a rush order, so don’t panic.
- First of all thank you so much for choosing Victoria Lou Bridal. Every bride means so much to us. We love and appreciate playing such a big role in your wedding!
- During your appointment we will take your measurements. If you are wearing close fitting clothing such as a body / leggings / tights we can take measurements over your clothing, but if you are wearing baggier clothing measurements will be best to take in your underwear. Wearing a non padded bra will be ideal to take your bust measurement.
- A 50 % deposit is required to secure your dress production and the remaining balance will be due when your dress is ready.
- We can accept a debit or credit card payment with Mastercard or Visa. We do not have a physical card machine, we take a payment as if it is over the phone so we’ll need the long card no. etc! We can also accept a bank transfer and cash.
- Our recommended seamstresses are Stitched Up who are located in Southam, Warwickshire based 30 minutes away from the boutique. We recommend getting in touch with them as soon as you have chosen your dress to pencil in your fitting appointments. Their diary gets filled up quickly because they really are the best in the business! There is no obligation to use our recommended seamstresses.
