Victoria Lou Bridal offers private appointments to provide a dedicated, professional and personal dress shopping experience.
Your appointment will be up to 1 hour 20 minutes with your nearest and dearest whilst together we find your desired bridal look for your big day.
There is a small appointment fee of £20 upon booking an appointment which will go towards any bridal gown purchase during the appointment. Please note this fee is not refundable if you cancel your appointment.
Please have a read about our designers and browse the dresses prior to booking an appointment. Some ‘Ready To Wear’ dresses are still available to order brand new at full price.

To ensure that your appointment is as safe as possible we have had to adapt the process of an appointment but we will still ensure that you have a wonderful time choosing your wedding dress.
We please ask that you bring no more than two guests to your appointment. Please bring your own face mask as masks from the 24th July are mandatory in all shops. Unfortunately if you do not bring a mask you will not be able to proceed with your appointment.
From the 24th September we have decided to stop offering refreshments to ensure that masks are worn throughout the appointment as Victoria Lou Bridal is not classed as hospitality but retail. Hopefully refreshments can resume again soon!
Your stylist will keep their distance to 1m+ unless where necessary – for example to help you into the dresses in the changing room.
We have slightly reduced the appointment duration to one hour twenty minutes to allow time for cleaning between appointments. As the time is reduced we are going to ask you to do your homework and select your top 5 dresses prior to the appointment – all of our dresses are now on the website to browse! This doesn’t mean you are limited to just trying these 5 dresses but it will help make the most of your appointment. We’ll ask for your top 5 via email before your appointment.
If you / your guests or any of your household have ANY Covid symptoms please get in touch to re-arrange your appointment.
When you arrive to store we have a QR code ready for you to scan – please ensure you have the NHS Test & Trace app downloaded on your phone.
It may all seem strange but we are sure that we will all adjust to the new norm! We are very excited to help you find your dream dress!

Please bring no more than 2 guests to your appointment. Please arrange a babysitter in advance if you or your guests have children – it isn’t a safe environment for little ones and we need to ensure all the attention is on the bride!
Most of our wedding dresses are size 12 but range from 8-14. Don’t worry if you don’t fit in this size bracket we can still help you visualise how a dress will look in your size but please do bring your imagination along with you!
The majority of brides start the search for their dream dress approximately 12 months before the big day and after booking the venue. Once you have chosen your dress it can take four to six months to be made. A further six to eight weeks should be allowed for alterations to your bridal gown.
Light coloured underwear is ideal. A bra may is not necessary for most of our dresses however please feel free to bring along a strapless bra if you prefer.
We have a plinth for you to stand on, and also some heels if you would like to walk around in the dresses.
Please don’t wear any instant tan (bride and guests) the dresses and our chairs are very light in colour and will mark easily.
Photography is not allowed in Victoria Lou Bridal unless a dress has been purchased (please let your guests know).
If you order your dress with us during your first appointment you’ll have your £20 appointment fee credit towards, if you decide that you would like to arrange a second appointment there is a £10 fee for a 45 minute appointment (you’ll then have £30 credit towards your bridal gown). The follow up appointment must be arranged during the first appointment.
When you have found your dream dress there is a 50% non refundable deposit. Payment is accepted via Visa, MasterCard debit and credit. BACs transfer, PayPal or cash.
If you choose a ‘ready to wear’ dress payment will be required in full and you will take the dress away on the day – you are welcome to come back for fittings!
